Management Team

The M G B Group has three promoter directors—all the three are sons of Machani Ramanna (see Protégé)—Shri M.R.Ganganna is the eldest son, Shri M.R. Ramesh the second, and Shri Dr. M R Gangadhar is the youngest son.

Shri M.R.Ganganna, Director

Born on February 3, 1944, in Yemmiganur, he is a commerce graduate. A finance expert, Shri Ganganna served as the managing director of the Yemmiganur Spinning Mills Ltd. for a period of 12 years. Presently, Chairman, M G B Oil Mills Pvt. Ltd., he has also been actively involved in the affairs of the Yemmiganur Leather Society and the Yemmiganur Town Bank Ltd.

Shri M.R. Ramesh, Director

Born on March 15, 1946, in Yemmiganur, he is an engineering graduate who trained extensively at the facilities of MICO and TELCO. After taking over the reins of SSS Springs Pvt. Ltd., he guided its growth from a small scale industry to a mammoth Rs.500 crore company with multiple production centers in India, and the USA. Presently, he is the executive chairman of SSS Pvt. Ltd. Following the footsteps of his earlier generation, he is deeply involved in charitable and social work.

Shri M. R. Gangadhar, Chairman, M G B Group

Born on September 18, 1958, he holds a B. Tech (Mech) degree. He is the Group’s chairman and managing director and holds charge of all the companies of the Group. Shri Gangadhar has been at the helm of the Group for three decades (since 1985) and has provided leadership to help the Group expand its existing businesses as well as add new ventures to its fold. He is ably assisted by his two sons Mr. Raghavendra and Mr. Gopalakrishna. For the sake of convenience and achieving optimal efficiency, management duties have been specifically divided between the two brothers. The Group continues to turn in impressive operating results under their capable leadership, year after year.

Highly respected by peers, the industry, and political and socially eminent personalities, he remains a soft-spoken and humble individual. As a torchbearer of the previous generation of Machanis, he is actively involved with several social and charitable organizations, some of which are owned and operated by the M G B Group.

On separate occasions, Shri Gangadhar has been the recipient of felicitations for his contribution to the development of Nellore as a businessman. He has been:

At a personal level Shri Gangadhar is an abhyasi (follower) of Shri Ram Chandra Mission (SRCM) since 1985. Shri Ram Chandra Mission (SRCM) is a non-profit organization, created for the purpose of bringing spiritual upliftment to people all over the world. It imparts a system of practical training in spirituality called Sahaj Marg, meaning the Natural Path. A system of Raja yoga meditation, the system takes us on a journey into the heart, towards the highest expression of our inner self. Unique among Indian yogic practices, the Sahaj Marg system offers us the possibility of spiritual evolution to the highest extent within the framework of our natural, everyday lives. Shri Gangadhar was Shri Ram Chandra Mission’s (SRCM) Zonal In-charge (ZIC) for the Andhra Pradesh region from 2000 to 2017.

As the vice president of Red Cross, Nellore district, from 1997 to 2011 he has participated in various programs for the betterment of society.
